The bill does the exact opposite of what you said. It is simply an update to existing law, clarifying that the new forms of Texas corporate entities are prohibited from making campaign contributions.
Damnit, I need to not automatically run with tips forwarded to me. I looked into it, and it's actually HB 2491 that softens the rules, not HB 2492. Even though this didn't originate from me, I'll take the blame for not doing background research into it before posting. Sorry!
