Talton's anti-gay foster parent amendment now has a chance
In a much shorter post than expected today, I announce that Hupp announced the House members to the conference committee of Senate Bill 6. Robert Talton (R-Pasadena), who authored an amendment to ban gay foster parents, will join Hupp, Toby Goodman, John Davis, and Carlos Uresti on the committee. This gives Talton a chance to fight for the amendment, but it's still unlikely that the amendment will be on the final version of the bill.

This is by far one of (if not the) most disgusting displays of demagougery, hatred, and homophobia I have witnessed by a legislaive body for many, many years.
People should be organizing right now to make sure this guy doesn't get reelected! Also, although I'm not a fan of these sorts of tactics, I think Talton's begging for a nice cream pie to the face.
